Rachel Chen

I'm a graduate student at Duke pursuing a Master of Engineering in Design and Technology Innovation, and a Northeastern alum with a B.S. in Computer Science, Interaction Design, and Global Fashion Studies. I've always been drawn to the space where creativity and engineering overlap, and I care about the details that make a product feel right.

I'm originally from Los Angeles. Since then I've spent a year in Oakland, three years in Boston, a summer in Paris, and a summer in Korea, and I'm now based in Durham, North Carolina.

Outside of work and school, you'll find me playing tennis, dancing (hip hop, contemporary, and ballet), hunting down new restaurants and cafés (a proud Beli warrior), traveling, or at a concert or festival.

I like pushing technology and design to make digital experiences that feel effortless. The best products come from technical rigor and real empathy for the people using them.
